Added in 2024, Safari Lodge added a private campsite in a beautiful old growth forest surrounded by towering spruce & hemlock trees that are several hundred years old. When we created this beautiful campsite, we envisioned giving our guests the true Alaskan experience by having our yurts nestled in the forests which is sure to put our guests in awe when you arrive!
Our Yurts are larger than traditional ones which provides a more comfortable living space for you. Smart Tvs and wifi internet are provided for some entertainment while you’re staying with us. They all have a mini fridge, microwave, coffee makers, a portable AC unit as well as electric heaters. We also have a common area with seating and a fire pit for everyone to enjoy. Your Yurt will be private to you, but they are all dry cabins (meaning no running water in them), but we do have a shower building for all guests to use which has an on demand hot water heater as well as porta johns which are also shared for a bathroom.
Located in a quiet part of Seward, you'll be just 4 miles from the Small Boat Harbor & Downtown Seward. Minutes from dozens of restaurants, activities, and shopping areas.
PLEASE NOTE: To give our Yurt Camp a cozy feel by surrounding it in a beautiful overgrowth forest, each one is located on the top of a hillside. Parking at the bottom of the hill is provided but you will need to walk up a flight of stairs and then make a 50 yard hike up a gravel incline to get to your yurt.
