As we roll into 2026 and start preparing for this upcoming season, we want to thank all of our guests who lodged and fished with us in 2025! It was a successful and very busy season for us. We had some phenomenal days on the water with some amazing catches throughout the summer. The silver salmon run was the best Seward has seen in over a decade! Halibut and bottom fishing was even great through the end of the season with our last charters in September yielding limits still! 

So far this offseason, we’ve started a little bit of tlc on our boats. The Delta Marine Charter boats are highly sought after for a reason as they are some of the most seaworthy vessels you can be on in the Gulf of Alaska, so we like to keep up with maintenance and cosmetic work on them each offseason. The Renegade had a new interior flooring installed in November, and the Legacy had the bathroom completely gutted and remodeled. All 3 boats will spend a couple weeks dry docked this spring to handle some bottom paint as well as waxing the hull and cabins. We have also spent the past 3 months servicing out fishing reels making sure any worn parts are replaced and oiled/greased up to be ready for more fish to be caught on them this upcoming season! We also make our own tackle so hook leaders will be on the agenda this next month as we generally crimp up a few thousand for each season. 

New for 2026, The Safari Lodge also will be opening The Adventure Yurt Campsite location (picture above)! Our cozy Yurts give guests the true Alaskan lodging experience. Make sure to click on the “Lodging”  tab above to check them out!
